How to Use

How to use
  1. Place the bench multimeter on a stable, dry work surface with adequate ventilation.
  2. Connect the supplied power lead and switch the unit on, allowing it to stabilise briefly for best accuracy.
  3. Select the required measurement function, such as DC voltage, AC voltage, resistance, current or continuity.
  4. Insert the test leads into the correct input terminals and connect them safely to the circuit or device under test.
  5. Read the primary and secondary values on the dual display, using True RMS mode where appropriate for complex AC signals.
  6. For logging or automation, connect the meter to a PC via USB and use compatible software or SCPI commands to record and control measurements.
  7. After testing, disconnect probes from the circuit first, then remove the leads from the meter if needed and power the unit down.

What Our Customers Say

Verified Purchase

I bought this for a repair bench handling audio and power boards, and the True RMS performance has been genuinely useful. The dual display saves time when I want to monitor voltage and frequency behaviour without constantly changing view.

Sarah Mitchell, London

Arrived quickly from the UK and was straightforward to set up. The 55,000-count resolution is a noticeable upgrade from my handheld meter when checking fine voltage adjustments on bench supplies.

James Henderson, Manchester

We use the XDM1041 in a teaching lab for electronics practicals. SCPI support and PC logging make it far easier to demonstrate repeatable measurement routines to students than a basic handheld multimeter.

Dr. Emily Clarke, Edinburgh

Very capable bench meter for the money, especially the DC accuracy and logging. The menu system takes a little familiarisation if you are moving up from a simple meter, but once learned it is excellent.

Oliver Wright, Bristol

I considered a Fluke option but wanted a proper bench setup with logging and a larger display without spending significantly more. For electronics diagnostics and documenting readings on a PC, this has been the better fit.

Rebecca Thompson, Leeds

Used mainly for PSU testing, continuity checks and current measurements on the bench. Readings are stable and easy to follow, though it is obviously not something you would carry around site like a handheld.

David Patel, Birmingham
